Update 4-5 april: all events cancelled

As local organization we will follow with immediate effect the new measures announced by the Dutch government to prevent any further spread of the COVID-19 Corona virus. In concrete terms, this means we have unfortunately taken the difficult decision to cancel the International Amsterdam Cup, as well as the seminar with Stanislav Horuna in order to ensure the safety of all athletes, coaches, referees, volunteers and spectators. We will work to find an alternative date, later this year. Of course we depend on which possibilities the calendar offers us.
We have to play our part in trying to minimize the chance of any further dissemination of the coronavirus. The health and well-being of everyone involved is our top priority. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but the advice of the Netherlands National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and Municipal Health Services (GGD) has been leading for us since the outbreak of coronavirus, and that is also the case now.
We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their understanding.
Als Karateschool volgen wij met onmiddellijke ingang de door de Nederlandse regering aangekondigde nieuwe maatregelen om verdere verspreiding van het COVID-19 Corona-virus te voorkomen. Concreet betekent dit dat we helaas de moeilijke beslissing hebben genomen om de International Amsterdam Cup te annuleren, evenals de seminar met Stanislav Horuna om de veiligheid van alle atleten, coaches, scheidsrechters, vrijwilligers en toeschouwers te waarborgen. We zullen met de KBN en gemeente Amsterdam kijken naar geschikte alternatieve datum, later dit jaar. Natuurlijk zijn we daarin afhankelijk welke mogelijkheden de kalender ons biedt.
We willen hiermee onze bijdrage leveren om de kans op verdere verspreiding van het coronavirus te minimaliseren. De gezondheid en het welzijn van alle betrokkenen is onze topprioriteit. Onze excuses voor het eventuele ongemak, maar sinds het uitbreken van het coronavirus zijn de adviezen van RIVM en GGD voor ons voortdurend leidend geweest en dat is ook nu het geval.
We willen ook van deze gelegenheid gebruik maken om iedereen te bedanken voor het begrip.
